Christmas 2009 is almost here and as I read FB posts and Tweets etc. I see the same things over and over. The stress of it all! Why is this? I guess most of it is organizing and planning. You would think when we're given 364 days to get ready for it we would should be done by Thanksgiving but it just doesn't seem to happen. I can correct one aspect of the rush and that is Holiday Cards.
A few years ago I was introduced to a system that would allow me to save all my contacts in one place by groups if I chose and create cards a day or years in advance, tell the system what date to send them and I'm done. My Holiday cards were done in January of 09 and were sent out on 12/10/09 and I didn't even lick a stamp or address an envelope. How cool is that!
The learning curve was minimal and the price is much less than if I ordered them and then the time involved to get them to the post office, we all know about that.
I'd be more than happy to show anyone interested in simplifying there card sending so just click on "The Holidays" and leave the rest to me and the system.
Happy Holidays!

Care and Share
A few days ago I was talking with a man in his 70's who lost his wife about 8 years ago. He has a son and daughter-in-law about 1800 miles away. We talked about several things, I mostly listened. I determined from this conversation that I was with a very intelligent man who had pretty much everything he wanted or needed except for one thing, someone to share with.
He missed his wife of course and would get an occasional call from his son and the rest of the time he would just wonder and wander about...not anymore.
He has a new friend in me and the first thing I did after I left him was send him a card telling him how important he was to me, how it was great that I found someone that was willing to share knowledge and that he could call me when it felt right. He should receive his card in another day or two and as it will be completely unexpected I'm almost certain that it will change the way he feels.
There are so many people that need this yet we focus on what we need...we can change that with Send Out Cards.
Send someone you care about or just met or haven't talked to in a long time. It will make a difference a big difference.
To your mental health!
